This video describes how I apply dry needling for patients with acute low back pain then follow up with a great manual therapy technique to get great results for your patients every time.
Hi. Welcome to the Twitch Dry Needling video training series where I’ll show you a fantastic dry needling technique followed by a manual therapy technique to get great results for your patients every time
These Dry Needling Techniques should only be applied by trained therapists who have completed an accredited course.
Okay, acute low back pain, now the patient side lying, then you can needle lumbar erector spinae and multifidus. Right here, great position of course and not having them in a prone position.
Okay, excellent. What else you can do that’s a follow-up manual therapy technique after you’ve needled the lumbar erector spine, multifidus. Lie on your back for me. A great technique you can use is traction of the lumbar spine and the facet joint, discs and the lumbar joints. Just in here, hug the top of the thighs and apply some traction towards you. Great follow-up technique once you’ve needled the lumbar erector spinae and multifidus. Particularly for anyone with acute low back pain.
Hope that helps.
