This video describes how I apply dry needling to the patients with inter-scapular tension and mid thoracic tension ! Then follow up with a great manual therapy technique to get great results for your patients every time.
Hi. Welcome to the Twitch Dry Needling video training series where I’ll show you a fantastic dry needling technique followed by a manual therapy technique to get great results for your patients every time.
These Dry Needling Techniques should only be applied by trained therapists who have completed an accredited course.
Okay, what do you do with those patients who’ve got inter-scapular tension, mid thoracic tension? Of course needling the rhomboid is going to get you some great results, but what else can we do other than dry needling to the rhomboids, which is a very straightforward and very effective, nice twitches in there in that inter-scapular region? Well, we can do some great winging of that scapula. Put the arm into the hammerlock position just like this, winging that medial board of the scapular. Get underneath like this. You can’t do this with everyone, but if you can, this is going to be a great origin to insertion, nice stretching here to stretch out the rhomboids just like this.
A great follow up technique, once you’ve needled the rhomboids. Hope that helps.
