This video describes how I apply dry needling to the patients with Lateral hip pain! Then follow up with a great manual therapy technique to get great results for your patients every time.
Hi. Welcome to the Twitch Dry Needling video training series where I’ll show you a fantastic dry needling technique followed by a manual therapy technique to get great results for your patients every time.
These Dry Needling Techniques should only be applied by trained therapists who have completed an accredited course.
Now, QL really important not just for low back pain, but of course, lateral hip pain. Usually common in an older patient, usually in women over 60 with that lateral hip pain. They’ve had their non-steroidal anti-inflammatories. They’ve had a cortisone shot. They’ve taken analgesics. None of those have helped. Have a look at QL.
What else would we do, one last twitch there, after you’ve done needling and QL? Well, some great technique, which is going to be articulation for the QL is going to be holding back on the ribcage just here, and thumb pointing out like this, side bending away from the ribcage just in here. Beautiful technique to open out the QL. Make sure that you’re nice and upright like this. It’s a great technique following up from a QL dry needling. Hope that helps.
