Hi. Welcome to the Twitch Dry Needling video training series where I’ll show you a fantastic dry needling technique followed by a manual therapy technique to get great results for your patients every time.

These Dry Needling Techniques should only be applied by trained therapists who have completed an accredited course.

Now we’ve all had those patients with rotator cuff injuries, and we might needle the rotator cuff muscles, but another muscle that you should think about is lat dorsi. Really important to needle that and then follow up with a manual therapy technique to help patients with trigger points into their lat dorsi. Great twitches coming out of that one. Very nice.

Okay, now, because of the attachment of lat dorsi at the front of the shoulder, into the inter-tubercular groove, and of course then it has a massive attachment to the thoracic spine, T7 to T12, also ribs 9 to 12, inferior angle of the scapula, and the iliac crest.

So to help somebody with lat dorsi trigger points and restriction in here, we might do some side bending articulation of the thoracic spine where it attaches right here to help somebody with that type of problem. Hope that helps.
